This is one of 20 paintings I made at the beginning of the pandemic and I was totally influenced by seeing the VanGogh Live exhibit just before the orders to shelter in place. It doesn't really look like a VanGogh, but I did borrow those birds in the upper right from him.
I love pattern and color, and it's really all I want to use to create -- gone are my days of landscapes and portraits. But people often look at my art and comment, "this would make a really good bedspread / greeting card / totebag." And those comments discouraged me. I didn't have a clue how to make those things and just imagined it would be really hard and take me away from what I love: creating. So finding Fine Art America and Pixels is exciting because secretly I agreed with those comments. A lot of my art would make really good greeting cards, shower curtains, or totebags. I hope that you'll see the same potential. (It's also good as art.) Thanks!
