Artist's Description
I painted this when I was in bed with the flu. I could barely get up, but I could see this from the bed and I made it very slowly over about two weeks. It gave me something cheerful to focus on, and working out how to balance the colors was about the hardest problem my brain could handle.

I love pattern and color, and it's really all I want to use to create -- gone are my days of landscapes and portraits. But people often look at my art and comment, "this would make a really good bedspread / greeting card / totebag." And those comments discouraged me. I didn't have a clue how to make those things and just imagined it would be really hard and take me away from what I love: creating. So finding Fine Art America and Pixels is exciting because secretly I agreed with those comments. A lot of my art would make really good greeting cards, shower curtains, or totebags. I hope that you'll see the same potential. (It's also good as art.) Thanks!
