Artist's Description
This is a copy of a 48x48" painting I made during COVID lockdown. It was supposed to convey comfort. Like a warm, cozy quilt. Might make a nice card for someone who's not feeling well. But my neighbor exclaimed, "Alegria!" when she saw me outside photographing it -- Joy. That's the great thing about abstract art, it can trigger something different to each viewer.

I love pattern and color, and it's really all I want to use to create -- gone are my days of landscapes and portraits. But people often look at my art and comment, "this would make a really good bedspread / greeting card / totebag." And those comments discouraged me. I didn't have a clue how to make those things and just imagined it would be really hard and take me away from what I love: creating. So finding Fine Art America and Pixels is exciting because secretly I agreed with those comments. A lot of my art would make really good greeting cards, shower curtains, or totebags. I hope that you'll see the same potential. (It's also good as art.) Thanks!
